Hope your team won the
Superbowl, if you are a fan. I didn't watch it. I'm not at all
interested in football so I wasn't even sure when the Superbowl was
taking place until I saw people talking about it on facebook the last
few days. I guess it is exciting to a lot of folks, but my interest
is summed up by a cartoon I saw on facebook which said “My idea of
a Superbowl is a toilet bowl that cleans itself.” Yep, that about
sums it up for me.
Congratulations to Gratt
and Brittney Dalton on the birth of their daughter, Grace. I
understand she weighed 9lbs. 6oz. and was 22 inches long. I saw a
picture of her and she is a beautiful baby.
Julie Lawson, Garrett
Lawson and I visited with Donna Sloan last Thursday afternoon. We
hadn't been to see her in quite a while, seems like we were sick,
then she was, then we were again and so forth, but we finally all hit
a day when we over or between all the bugs going around.
Bob and I went to the
funeral service for Luene Johnson at the Association building last
Friday afternoon. The building was full of family and friends paying
their last respects to this dear sweet lady. It was a very nice
service, officiated by David Holvick.
After the service, Bob and
I met Julie at Ozark and she, Garrett, Bob and I traveled to Everton
to watch a couple of basketball games. The girls game was very
exciting and well played, even though we lost by a couple of points.
The boy's game started out pretty well but Everton pulled away with a
large lead and won the game. It was very warm in the gym and after
trying to keep Garrett occupied all evening, we were all worn out and
left before the boy's game ended.
Ballgames for next week
will be the girls and boys playing at Lutie on Friday, February 8 and
then Homecoming for Bradleyville will be on Saturday, February 9 at

Thursday night, February 7 at home with Taneyville. I hope I will
finally get to see them play, I hear they are having a great season.
