Not a lot of news this week,
sometimes that is good, sometimes not. I finally broke down and had a fire in
the fireplace Monday morning. I'll say I was worried it was too cold for the
twins and Garrett who came to visit that morning, but my hands and feet were
cold too so I threw some dry cedar chunks in and had a nice little fire that
warmed us up nicely.
The Bradleyville Jr. High boys
came home from the Thornfield tournament last week with a second place trophy.
Taneyville boys won first place in the tournament.
We enjoyed the group,
Crosstimber who played at Caney Church Sunday night. They played and sang for
just over an hour and did an amazing job. We had a nice visit with everyone
there and really enjoyed getting to visit with Hi and Doris Lambeth. Bob and Hi
used to work together many years ago at Darrell Todd's sawmill and Bob is
always telling some story of the fun they all had working together.
A reminder that the group, Riders
on a Mission will be at New Mansion Church on October 26 for the Fall Festival.
The festival starts around 2 and ends with a potluck supper that evening.
Everyone welcome.
