I
built a little fire in the fireplace one morning last week and it felt very
nice. It wasn’t all that cold, but just chilly enough to be uncomfortable to me
and the granddaughters. We could have
stood it, but we had to cut down a dead hickory tree in our yard a few weeks ago
and when we did, I carried some of the wood to the porch. It was around 95
degrees the day we cut it, and Bob laughingly asked if I was going to make a
fire that day. I said no but I would have the wood ready when I wanted to, and
of course, I’ve wanted to use some of that hickory wood and smell it burning
ever since that day.
Congratulations
to Jess and Melanie Smith Cook on their recent marriage. They had their wedding
at the farm of Melanie’s great grandma, Mary Henson and it looked beautiful
from the pictures I saw on facebook. I have been to the farm a few times and it
is beautiful there and is a wonderful place for a wedding.
Get

heard the McKillip reunion was very well attended with a large crowd, lots of
