Hope
everybody has a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and
friends. We expect to have all of our kids and grandkids home except
for David, and we will try to talk to him on Skype sometime during
the day. He always has a houseful of friends at his house for
Thanksgiving and then he comes home to spend Christmas with us.
Congratulations
to Dustin and Chi-Anna Johnson on the birth of their daughter, Avery
Jane. Avery weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 19 ½ inches long. She is a
beautiful addition to their family and I know big sister Brenley will
enjoy helping her mommy take care of her.
Bob
and I went to the Blue and White scrimmage last Friday night to watch
both the girls and boys basketball teams and they really looked good.
High
school basketball season has started again at Bradleyville School,
next week the boys will be playing in the Forsyth Tournament and the
girls will be playing at Mansfield.
My
step-mom, Donna Sloan has spent a few days in the hospital. As of now
they are running some tests to determine what exactly is causing her
to be sick.
New
Mansion Church had the final Chili Feed for this deer season last
Saturday and was thankful for everybody that came and ate and donated
sale items, food or money. All the proceeds went to the Vacation
Bible School fund. Several of us workers probably gained a few more
pounds while we sat around and visited and sampled every chili, soup,
stew and dessert on the tables. They were all delicious.
The
Getaway Gift Shop will be having their annual Holiday Open House on
Friday, the 30th of November from 3pm until 7pm. Santa will be there
from 4pm until 6pm and Ashley Mann will be taking pictures of him
with the children. Cindy Dalton will be there with holiday florals
and several other vendors will have their items for sale too. There
will be discounts, food and holiday fun for all.
